LIND & LIME GIN is a Scottish gin produced by The Port of Leith Distillery at the Tower Street Stillhouse in Leith, Edinburgh. With such a remarkable range of gins now available, we wanted to go back to the very definition of a classic London Dry Gin; a delicate balance of juniper and lime with the gentle spice of pink peppercorns. A complex dry gin that can be the backbone to a great cocktail and which can handle the addition of flavoured tonics. The floral aroma of orris root is prominent on the nose with juniper, coriander and manuka creating a piney heart. Oranges and lemons complement the fruity base and cinnamon, licorice and orris root provide a sweet spice finish.

On the front of the palate, Portobello Road Gin has a generous slug of juniper, the mid-palate has a sustained, fresh citrus character from our use of lemon, bitter orange and coriander, which then develops into a sweet peppery finish, achieved by the use of liquorice and nutmeg.

In 1839, Charles Tanqueray created a spiced gin using botanicals from Malaysia and it was this recipe, found in Charles' notebook, which inspired the Tanqueray distillers to create Tanqueray Malacca. Malacca is a mischievous, flavourful gin using an exotic mix of peppercorn, rose and cloves in addition to the four Tanqueray botanicals in Tanqueray London Dry. This achieves a distinctive flavour with a complex and spicy finish.

Aviation Gin is a smoother, softer, more refined take on gin. Unlike junpier-heavy London dry gins, Aviation has citrus and floral flavours in front with juniper in the back.

Black Robin Gin is a contemporary London Dry gin that is inspired by the critically endangered Chatham Island's Black Robin. With every bottle sold Simply Pure make a donation to their charity partners to help them protect NZ's native species and wild places. Black Robin Gin is handcrafted and batch-distilled in a Arnold-Holstein copper reflux pot still by Master Distiller Michael Deinlein, who's family have been crafting alcoholic beverages since the 1930's. Using triple distilled whey as their base, they go on to distill Black Robin Gin a further two times with 11 traditional and exotic botanicals including locally sourced horopito. They then blend with pristine filtered spring water sourced from a sprung underneath our distillery in the hills above Tauranga.

Bombay Sapphire Premier Cru is a small-batch gin that celebrates Bombay's mastery of botanicals. This gin heroes one of Bombay's previous botanicals, the Murican lemon, delivering an extraordinary character with a symphony of citrus notes. This is not a lemon flavoured gin, but a celebration of lemon and citrus. The careful selection of the Murican lemon which is hand-harvested, hand-peeled and dried under the Spanish sun is overseen by Bombay's Master of Botanicals, Ivano Tonutti. This adds complexity and intense citrus notes with a long, refreshing finish.

In deepest rural Ireland, on the edge of a lake in Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim, is home of The Shed Distillery and PJ Rigney. PJ created The Shed Distillery with its medieval copper pot stills and began a quest to fuse oriental botanicals with the local Irish ones. As it turned out, they got on very well indeed.
